Week 17 Baby Bump Photo

Here is the first baby bump photo to be posted.  This photo was taken on our babymoon.  It was towards the beginning of week 17 of the pregnancy.  As you can see, the baby bump is quite small.  The doctor said the amount I am showing is typical of a 3 month pregnant lady.  If you do the math I am a little over 4 months along.  

Babymoon

Babymoon - a vacation taken by a couple that is expecting a baby in order to allow the couple to enjoy a final trip together before the many sleepless nights that usually accompany a newborn baby. 

Knowing we had a little one on the way, Garrett and I decided to take one last trip i.e. babymoon.  We figured it might be awhile before we get to go on another one.  Our destination of choice was the lovely island of Maui.  We spent the past week soaking up the sun and enjoying relaxing time together.  I knew Maui would be great, but I must say it exceeded my expectations.  The weather was perfect, the beaches fabulous, and the company was great i.e. Matt and Christina.  We hope to go back in the future and would definately recommend Maui to others.

16 Week Check-Up

October 11th was our 16 week check-up.  The appointment went great.  I was able to hear the baby's heartbeat again.  Each time I hear it, I find it amazing.  I also found out that I no longer have an infection.  Meaning I will not need to be on antibiotics for the whole pregnancy.  Lastly, I was able to schedule our 20 week ultrasound appointment.  We look forward to this appointment, as our last ultrasound was at 8 weeks and all the baby looked like was a bean.  It will also be the first time we get pictures of the baby.  Stay tuned to see ultrasound pictures.
